Can ghost shrimp and cherry shrimp live in harmony?
I have 1 ghost shrimp and I want to get cherry shrmp. I cannot give my ghost shrimp away as the pet store does not take them. Do they live in peace and if they do not, is there any other kind of shrimp that do well with ghost shrimp?
It is possible to have both in the same tank. Since the ghost shrimp are a little bit bigger than the cherry reds, there may be a bit of squabbling over food, but otherwise they tend to mind their own business in the tank and scavenge around.
However, you may want to look into the reasoning of why your ghost shrimp are dying before purchasing additional shrimp for your tank since cherry reds are more expensive than ghost shrimp.
