Too Much lighting on my 55 gallon reed tank????

I currently have 2x 250W DE HQI(METAL HALIDE), 4x 65W Compact Fluorescent(ACTINIC BLUE 10K). I am an running a 55 gallon. The whole system is 760W. Im not sure if this will damage my 55 gallon when i add plants because it is too much light. Can anyone help me and see what I should be using for my light, example only the MEtalHalides or the actinincs>>? THanks!

A reef tank or a freshwater tank?
You could use the mhalides for the reef tank since corals really depend on light. WIthout it, they will die.
Just remember that most fishes will suffer under high direct lighting. Make some caves or something for the fish to hide in.
This is including freshwater plant tanks.
